Fit & Fly SCOTland
APRIL 26 - May 3, 2025
Join us for Fit & Fly Scotland, which will be held April 26 - May 3, 2025 at a 13-bedroom villa on the banks of Loch Tay in the Scottish Highlands. The Retreat Co-Hosts are Jane Robertson and Stacey Nolan. The Retreat Chef is Ally Beattie.
Fit & Fly Scotland is the perfect retreat for someone who . . .
is more interested in a cultural retreat than a fitness retreat. Activities will come in the form of daily tours, not fitness classes.
has an affinity for all things Scottish (a slight obsession with Outlander counts!)
has bucket list dreams of traveling to Scotland to see stunning landscapes, lochs, castles, and even city life with a day trip to Edinburgh.
scotland
Scotland is the northernmost country in the United Kingdom. The retreat will take place in the Scottish Highlands, a region known for its stunning landscapes, rugged mountains, and thousands of freshwater lochs. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh where retreat guests will spend a day exploring, providing the perfect mix of city and country during the week. The weather in Scotland can be quite changeable, and rain, sun, wind, cool, and warm can sometimes all be experienced in one day! One benefit of traveling to Scotland in April is that on average, rainfall amounts are lowest during this month. Scotland has been featured in television shows and movies such as Outlander, Game of Thrones, and Harry Potter, and retreat guests will have the chance to visit many of these filming locations.
private villa
Fit & Fly Scotland will be hosted at Loch Tay Manor, a private villa located on the banks of Loch Tay in the Scottish Highlands. Built in 1753 as a summer hunting lodge for the Earl of Breadalbane, Loch Tay Manor retains its old world charm yet with a modern update.
The villa has 13 bedrooms, each with private ensuite bathroom; living room; library with fireplace; modern kitchen; dining room; media room; and game room with pool table, karaoke machine and SONOS system. Outside, the villa has a hot tub for seven people, fire pit with seating in the woods, a terrace, and large gardens. The small village of Killin and Ben Lawers National Nature Reserve are located five and 10 minutes away, respectively.
The villa offers a variety of accommodations to suit everyone from solo travelers to friends traveling together, as follows:

Retreat activities and meals
Fit & Fly guests will visit many of Scotland’s top sights, including Loch Ness, Doune Castle, Inverness, Loch Lomond, Urquhart Castle, Glencoe, and viewing the “Harry Potter train” at the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Midweek, the group will have the opportunity to take a break from sightseeing to simply relax at the villa or go out for a hike. Another day during the retreat will be spent on a day trip to Edinburgh for exploring and shopping.
While staying at the villa, meals will be prepared by Fit & Fly retreat chef, Ally Beattie, who is from Scotland. Breakfasts and dinners will be enjoyed at the villa, while lunches will be individually packed for each guest to enjoy while out touring Scotland during the day. Evenings at the villa can be spent in the outdoor hot tub; relaxing in the villa’s library by the fire; lounging around the outdoor fire pit; or playing a game of pool or singing karaoke in the game room.
